Most models are prehung with frames included, though slab-only options are available for interior doors. All come primed or finished and ready for installation.
RELIABILT is a private label owned by Lowe's. The doors use the same production lines and materials as name-brand alternatives, but at a lower price point because there is no separate brand marketing cost. The quality is comparable to other mid-range door brands at home improvement stores. Across all door products, RELIABILT averages 4+ stars from thousands of verified reviews on Lowes.com.
If you are renovating multiple rooms, RELIABILT also makes vinyl replacement windows, ready-to-assemble cabinets, and moulding and trim to complete the look. For matching hardware, see knobs and levers and deadbolts, hinges, and accessories.

Hollow core doors weigh about 25 lbs, cost $30-80 per slab, and are fine for closets, pantries, and low-traffic rooms. Solid core doors weigh 50-70 lbs, cost $100-200, and provide noticeably better sound blocking (STC 30-33 vs STC 20 for hollow core). Use solid core for bedrooms, bathrooms, and home offices where noise privacy matters.
Steel doors are the strongest and cheapest option. They dent on impact but provide the best security. Fiberglass doors resist dents, can be stained to look like real wood, and will not rust in coastal environments. Both have polyurethane foam cores with similar insulation values. Choose steel for budget and security, fiberglass for curb appeal and coastal locations.
Measure your rough opening width at top, middle, and bottom. Measure height at left, center, and right. Use the smallest number in each direction. Prehung doors need a rough opening 2" wider and 2.5" taller than the door slab. If replacing a slab in an existing frame, measure the old door slab exactly.
Interior prehung doors are a straightforward DIY project (1-2 hours per door). Exterior door replacement is intermediate (half day). Call a professional for structural changes (widening an opening, adding a header) or if your framing is out of square by more than 1/4".
All RELIABILT doors carry a limited lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Exterior doors include a separate warranty on the glass seal (if applicable) and the finish. The warranty does not cover normal wear, improper installation, or damage from modifications. File claims through Lowe's customer service at 1-800-445-6937 with your receipt and door model number.
