RELIABILT Windows

Vinyl replacement and new construction windows in two series. Dual-pane Low-E glass, tilt-in sashes, maintenance-free frames. $79 to $300+. Sold exclusively at Lowe's.

RELIABILT windows are vinyl replacement and new construction windows sold exclusively at Lowe's, starting at $79 for single hung and reaching $300+ for large double hung units. They come in two product lines: the 3201 Series (budget, most popular) and the 3500 Series (mid-range, argon-filled glass, better energy performance). Both feature dual-pane Low-E glass, tilt-in sashes for interior cleaning, and fusion-welded vinyl frames that never need painting.

RELIABILT windows are manufactured by Atrium Windows & Doors (a subsidiary of Associated Materials) under contract with Lowe's. The brand name belongs to Lowe's, not to any single manufacturer. Quality is comparable to other mid-range vinyl windows like Simonton or Ply Gem, but priced 15-25% lower because there is no separate brand marketing cost.

If you are renovating beyond windows, RELIABILT also makes interior and exterior doors, ready-to-assemble cabinets, moulding and trim, and door hardware to complete the project under one brand.

Window Types

Shop by Window Style

Five window types across both the 3201 and 3500 series. Each is available in replacement and new construction configurations.

Single Hung Windows

Bottom sash slides up, top sash is fixed. Starting at $79. Lower cost than double hung with the same glass and frame quality.

Double Hung Windows

Both sashes slide up and down and tilt inward for cleaning. Most popular RELIABILT window style. $89 to $300+ depending on size and series.

Sliding Windows

Sash slides horizontally. Ideal for wide openings where vertical clearance is limited, such as above kitchen counters or in basements.

Replacement Windows

Designed to fit inside existing window frames with no exterior work required. Insert directly into the old frame opening. Available in all styles.

New Construction Windows

Includes a nailing fin that fastens to wall studs before siding goes on. Required for new builds, additions, and openings cut into existing walls.

How to Choose the Right RELIABILT Window

3201 vs 3500: Which Series Do You Need?

Choose the 3201 Series if you are replacing multiple windows on a budget and live in a Northern or North-Central climate zone. The 3201 meets Energy Star requirements for those regions and costs 40-50% less than the 3500 in comparable sizes. Choose the 3500 Series if you live in the Southern zone (the 3201 does not qualify for Energy Star there), want argon-filled glass for better insulation, or need clay as a frame color option. The 3500's lower U-Factor of 0.27 vs 0.30 translates to roughly 10% better thermal performance.

How to Measure for Replacement Windows

Measure width at the top, middle, and bottom of the existing window opening between the jambs. Use the smallest of the three numbers. Measure height on the left side, center, and right side from the sill to the head jamb. Use the smallest number. Deduct 1/4 inch from both width and height for fitting clearance. If your measurements vary by more than 1/4 inch across any dimension, the opening is out of square and may need shimming or frame repair before installation.

Replacement vs New Construction

Use replacement windows when the existing frame and exterior trim are in good condition. The new window inserts into the old frame from inside, with no siding or exterior trim work needed. A single replacement takes 30-60 minutes. Use new construction windows when building new walls, adding windows where none existed, or when the existing frame is rotted or structurally damaged. New construction windows have a nailing fin that attaches to the studs and requires exterior finishing work afterward.

When to Hire a Pro

Replacement window installation is a manageable DIY project for homeowners comfortable with a drill, level, and caulk gun. Budget 30-60 minutes per window. Hire a professional if the existing frame is rotted, the opening is badly out of square, or you are installing new construction windows that require cutting into exterior walls and reflashing. Professional installation typically costs $150-$300 per window on top of the product cost.

Coverage

Window Warranty

All RELIABILT windows carry a limited lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the home. The warranty covers the vinyl frame, glass seal failure (fogging between panes), hardware, and balance mechanisms. It does not cover glass breakage, damage from improper installation, or normal weathering of exterior surfaces.

The glass seal warranty is particularly important: if condensation appears between the two panes, the insulated glass unit has failed and qualifies for a warranty replacement. File claims through Lowe's customer service at 1-800-445-6937 with your receipt and window model number.
